You can delete your YaadMatch account and its data at any time. There are two ways to do it, and neither requires you to keep the app installed forever — if you have already removed the app, use the email option below and we will handle it for you.
Option 1 — In the app (fastest)
Open YaadMatch and go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your account immediately after you confirm.
Option 2 — By email (no app needed)
If you no longer have the app installed, or you would rather not reinstall it, email our monitored support inbox and we will process the deletion for you:
Send your request to support@yaadmatch.com from the email address on your account, and include your account name and parish. To protect your account from someone else requesting its deletion, we verify that you own it before we delete anything — usually by confirming the request comes from your account email, and occasionally by asking one additional question only the account owner would know. We do not ask for your password or any payment details.
How long it takes
We acknowledge email deletion requests within a few business days and complete verified deletions promptly after that — typically within about 30 days of verifying ownership.
What deletion removes
- Your profile, photos, and voice-message audio.
- Your verification media (selfie and any ID image), if not already purged on its retention schedule.
- Your device push tokens and notification preferences.
- Your YaadSafe trusted-contact details and location labels.
- Your stored approximate location, which is cleared along with your profile.
What may be retained
For safety and legal reasons, records tied to reports, safety flags, and moderation audit history may be kept against an anonymized account so open investigations and abuse history are not destroyed. Your subscription is billed by Apple or Google — cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings, as deleting your account does not cancel store billing. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
